FT3.03 Solidarity and Decentralised Financing for Water and Sanitation for All

You are interested in decentralised financing initiatives? You would like to learn more about what initiatives exist and the added value of such financing mechanisms? You would like to strengthen the practices in your country or create effective cooperation mechanisms?
Based on sustainable ties of solidarity between citizens in the North and the South and on the local and decentralised management of water and sanitation services, solidarity and decentralised funding mechanisms work locally to:
• Increase access to water and sanitation services in the South
• Foster local capacity building in the South
• Share experiences in local governance between North and South to ensure the sustainability of actions.
